About me
For as long as I can remember, I was always painting and drawing. One of my earliest memories is scribbling tiny flowers on a scrap of paper.
A box of pencils or a fresh set of paints was always the most coveted birthday gift.
I grew up in a small city in the middle of nowhere, far from any formal art education beyond elementary school lessons. But I kept painting.
College, marriage, children, full time job. I kept painting any free moment I had.
It became my refuge, my meditation , the thing that kept me grounded through some of life's most turbulent seasons. And I kept painting.
Somewhere along the way, painting stopped being something I did and became something I am. My second language. My truest voice. My vision of string vibrating between the words.
Over the years I found my own style, vivid, expressive, and alive. Every blade of grass and tiny flower holds a silent emotion. Stars seem to sing. Water fractures into worlds of its own.
I'm still learning, still experimenting and loving every moment of it. New work is added regularly, so there's always a reason to come back.
This gallery is a record of that long road and a celebration of the beauty found along the way.
Enjoy, Natalia
